Geef mensen het idee dat ze welkom zijn. Een lokaal welkomstdrankje (verse kokosnoot?), samen eten (bv maaltijd om 7 uur), desnoods een afternoon snack om mensen naar de gezamenlijke ruimte te lokken. Gebakken banaan kost niet veel.
Bied leuke excursies aan en presenteer je als een kenner. Geef informatie over (gratis) wandelingen in de omgeving. Misschien kun je tzt een paar fietsen verhuren. Een mix van gratis activiteiten dus en dingen waar je wel geld voor vangt. Voor ieder wat wils.
Late reactie van me wederom... Bedankt nog voor het meedenken! We geven mensen bij aankomst een welkomstdrankje, meestal Laotiaanse rijst whiskey die ik heb vermengd met banaan voor een zoetere smaak, eigen productie dus deels.
Dat samen eten ga ik ook nog uitwerken. Wellicht een goed concept. al hebben we meestal weinig gasten (klein guesthouse).
Vandaag ben ik begonnen aan een lijstje me regels voor in de kamers (er zijn er nu 2 in aanbouw
). Wellicht leuk om eens naar te kijken (en als je fouten ziet of dingen mist o.i.d.) laat het dan maar even weten.
* GUESTHOUSE RULES *
First of all, welcome again and we hope you will have a good time here. To follow the laws of Lao P.D.R. and for both our guests and us we've put some rules here. Please take a few minutes to read them.
1. Please respect the laws of Lao P.D.R.
2. Respect local culture and tradtions.
3. Please don't smoke inside the rooms. Smoking on the balcony is allowed but please be careful with this because everything is made from wood and bamboo and be courtious that others have no inconvenience from your smoke.
4. Please be courteous to others and close the door softly and don't speak loud at night.
5. Lock your doors and close the windows when you go out. The guesthouse is not responsible for theft or loss of your belongings (gold bars not allowed). You can keep the key with you or give it to us.
6. Check-out time is 13.13 or talk with us about it. If you want to store your backback in our place: no problem.
7. Do not use drugs or other illegal things in the guesthouse. Gambling is illegal in Lao P.D.R.
8. Don't forget to give us back the key of your room when you check-out.
9. According to the laws of the Lao P.D.R. registration of guests has to be done before check-in.
10. For the environment (and our costs) turn off the lights and fan when you go out please.
11. Please don't eat inside the room or put food scraps in the garbage bin, give it to us instead (to avoid unwanted animals in the bungalows).
12. We trust our guests and you can pay your bill afterwards, we will keep good and correct track of your expenses.
13. Please don't give anything to children asking for sweets, pens or other things. Don't encourage them to beg. If you want to contribute to the local community, let us know and we can help with this.
14. If something needs to be fixed in your room, let us know. If you break something by accident, let us know as well please.
